Nokia N73 Review Details About Nokia Smartphone N73
The new Nokia N73 is a “smartphone”. It features the latest version of the OS many used to blame for lack of applications, the Symbian S60 3rd Edition. There is no need to worry about its compatibility anymore as there are already a sufficient number of new or adjusted programs and applications for the above mentioned Symbian version on the mobile phones market. If you appreciate constructional extravagances, you’d rather turn your attention to the slider Nokia N80. The Mobile Nokia N73 is rigorously classical, its dimensions are 110 x 49 x 19 mm and the weight is 116 g. Instead you slide open the camera lens cover and madly take photos of anything remotely attractive or interesting. That’s the Nokia N73, a camera that just happens to have a smartphone attached. The N73 is one of Nokia’s newest S60 3rd Edition phones and was released in July 2006. It’s shipping in Asia and in parts of Europe but is not sold in the US by any carrier, mabye in the future. The Nokia N73 is a quad band GSM world phone which will work anywhere GSM service is available in the world.
It has EDGE and UMTS 3G on the 2100MHz band , Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, 240 x 320 QVGA display, miniSD memory card slot, full PIM applications with easy syncing to Outlook, Microsoft Office document viewer, MP3 player for music fans, FM radio, stereo output, email client and a full HTML Web browser. Nokia includes the QuickOffice document readers for Word, PowerPoint and Excel as well as a PDF reader just in case you want to do some serious reading work on the 2.4-inch screen. Frankly, though, if you are interested in that kind of activity to a serious degree you should be looking at a Smartphone with a far bigger screen and maybe data editing capabilities instead of just viewing. In the phone box you will find the stereo Pop-Port headset, world charger (prong adapter for US required), USB cable (CA-53), software CD with PC Suite and LifeBlog for Windows, a thick manual, Lithium Ion battery and a 128 mb miniSD memory card. Nokia N73 users will also be able to use Amazon’s Mobipocket. Reader and Amazon Anywhere(TM) features, which will be preinstalled on this phone in certain areas. With Amazon Anywhere shoppers can get immediate access to Amazon’s expansive selection and search customer reviews, receive personalized recommendations and shop right from their Nokia N73. Mobipocket Reader transforms your multimedia computer into a universal eBook reader with access to more than 25,000 eBooks from major US, German, French and Spanish publishers.

The N73 it has a straightforward candy bar design and an standard keypad. It looks more at home with recent MS Smartphones like the T-Mobile SDA and Cingular 2125 than the Nokia N80. Like the SDA and 2125, a large QVGA display dominates the front face, and while the phone may lack the sexy looks of the N80 or the stainless steel machismo of the N91, the display itself is so eye-catching it gives the entire phone a turn to the stunning. Since normalcy abounds, the phone has a standard keypad with roomy blue backlit keys, a perfectly conformist 5 way joystick that’s surrounded by the usual smartphone cluster of 2 softkeys and the call send and end keys. The application launcher, pencil, clear and multimedia applications launcher keys wrap around the keypad in the bright silver surround. All are easy to access and we’re thankful the ever-important application launcher wasn’t relegated to a side location as with the Nokia N91. Nokia N73 is a mobile for young people, for music fans and for mobile photography users.
